Our Head of Social’s Favourite Marketing Campaigns – August 2026

We’re never short of creative marketing campaigns, so here is Head of Social, Sammy’s, picks for the best she’s seen recently.

From Netflix promoting their latest series with a man *LIVING* in an actual billboard, to Kim Kardashian poking fun at herself in her launch of her new energy drink company UPDATE – there’s been some really great ones this month!

What were the best marketing campaigns of the month? Here our our Head of Social’s picks.

UPDATE by Kim Kardashian

Kim launched UPDATE through a mock press conference that pokes fun at her own reputation, from how much she works, to the headlines around her career. The self-awareness is what makes it so good.

An energy drink isn’t the most obvious product for Kim, but they’ve found the link that makes it make sense. Her ridiculously busy lifestyle becomes the reason for the product, without ever really needing to sell it to you.

Kim Kardashian launches another venture, this time a cool-girl energy drink called UPDATE.

Netflix puts a man in a billboard (yes, really)

To promote their new horror/sci-fi film, The Last House, Netflix placed a man live inside a fully furnished billboard 30 feet above Sunset Boulevard for three days, bringing the premise of the film ‒ a family of four are suddenly sealed inside their home with no way out ‒ into real life.

Having someone actually live inside a billboard feels so far beyond what we normally think of as outdoor advertising. I love that it pushes such a traditional format into completely new territory and makes you question what else we could be doing with these spaces.

Netflix’s stunt had a man living in a billboard in Los Angeles for three days.

Rare Beauty x Off Campus, featuring Ella Bright

Rare Beauty choosing Off Campus’ Ella Bright as its first celebrity ambassador feels really well thought out. ‘Made You Blush’ plays on the running theme that no one can make Hannah blush, so for fans of the show it almost feels like an inside joke they’re in on.

It’s such a good example of choosing an ambassador for their relevance in that exact moment, rather than simply going for or whoever has the biggest following.

Rare Beauty capitalised on the popularity of Prime Video’s ‘Off Campus’ for their first brand ambassador, the show’s star Ella Bright.

Gymshark Glutey Call Centre

Gymshark turned the launch of Lift Seamless 2.0 into the ‘Glutey Call Centre’, putting a funny spin on a typical call centre (with a great pun too) with everything centred around glute gains, leg day and gym culture.

The best ads on social are becoming the ones you barely realise are ads. It puts entertainment first and lets the leggings sit within the idea, turning what could have been a standard product launch into something people actually want to watch.

Gymshark tapped into gym culture with Glutey Call Centre.

Polaroid Anti-AI Out of Home Campaign

Polaroid’s OOH campaign takes aim at AI, screen time and how much of our lives now happen digitally, with lines that bring everything back to actually experiencing and capturing real life.

I love how Polaroid has taken everything happening with AI and used it to make an analogue camera feel more relevant, not less. They’re not fighting to keep up with technology, they’re giving us a reason to want the complete opposite – which I think is something a lot of us are feeling.

Polaroid launched a not-so-subtle takedown of AI with their poignant OOH campaign.
